We want to understand what “complex needs” means to you and your family, what do you feel defines “complex” and how having a child or young person with complex needs affects everyday life.
We will also have Rachel Horner in attendance from Barking and Dagenham to update families on local Short Breaks information.
WHAT TO EXPECT: This will be an informal and welcoming meeting where you can:
• Share your family’s experiences of education, health and social care
• Talk about what support your child and family need
• Tell us what is working well and what needs to change
• Help identify the issues that matter most to local families
• Contribute to the evidence and feedback Just Say takes into its work with the Barking & Dagenham SEND Partnership and use your family’s experience to share local services
You don’t need to prepare anything and you don’t have to speak in front of the group. You are welcome to listen, join in as much or as little as you feel comfortable with, or speak to us individually.
Just Say is the Parent Carer Forum for Barking & Dagenham. We work with education, health and social care partners so that parent carers’ experiences and views can help influence and shape local SEND services.
All SEND families are welcome. Lunch will be provided and attendance is free.
Please book your free place through Eventbrite so we know how many families to expect. If you need help booking, have accessibility requirements, or would prefer to speak to us before attending, contact Just Say Parent Carer Forum on 07459 839901. Places are free, but booking is encouraged to help us plan refreshments and seating.
